All expansion modules in this category carry a 3-month manufacturer warranty, issued and backed by Newland AIDC EMEA themselves — not a reseller warranty. These are brand-new, never-deployed electronics offered at a significant reduction from their original list price. The quality, origin, and warranty authority are the same as any module purchased through standard distribution.
Extending the capability of an installed NQuire platform
The Newland NQuire700 and NQuire1000 were designed as a modular platform. Rather than replacing an entire terminal to add new functionality, these devices were built to accept hardware modules that expand their capability from within the existing installation — without changing the mounting, cabling, or application software already in place.
For organisations that have NQuire700 or NQuire1000 terminals deployed, these modules represent a cost-effective way to extend what those terminals can do. The alternative — replacing functional hardware to gain a single new capability — is both more expensive and more disruptive.
With the NQuire700 and NQuire1000 now discontinued from standard distribution, these modules are no longer available through regular channels. This outlet is the only remaining commercial source.
LED module — Adds a programmable LED indicator to the terminal. Typically used in customer-facing deployments where a clear visual status signal is required: access granted or denied, queue status, transaction confirmation, or workflow state. RFID reader — Adds low-frequency RFID reading capability to the terminal. Used in deployments where contactless card or tag identification is part of the workflow: loyalty card programmes, access control, employee identification, or asset tracking at a fixed check-point.
NFC reader module — Adds Near Field Communication reading capability. Relevant for deployments involving contactless interactions with NFC-enabled cards, mobile devices, or tags — including but not limited to contactless payment flows, NFC-based loyalty interactions, and mobile credential verification.
4G module — Adds cellular data connectivity to a terminal that would otherwise depend on WiFi. Relevant for deployments in locations where a reliable WiFi infrastructure is not available, for temporary or event-based installations, or where network redundancy is a requirement.
